For this picture, it took a little bit to get since it was cold and that they were having fun playing around in the snow. This portrait picture is a mixture of serious and candid. My cousin noticed that I was taking a picture while my sister was busy picking up her cell out of the snow.
For this picture of the firefighter at a memorial ceremony, I had a difficult time getting the right picture simply because it was hard to move around and get the image I was looking to get. Instead of getting an image of him looking into space, I got this image of him in a deep stare.

I like the bottom portrait. Too bad you couldn't get one from the side with him looking away. The top picture is a fun one, good job!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo of the flag bearer. His gaze just the the side of the camera makes it look traditional and off beat at the same time. You got a perfect amount of him in frame and really nailed the aperture to get the right amount of depth.
ReplyDeleteGreat expressions in both sets of your photos. The true concentration shows on the face of the man holding the flag.
ReplyDeleteI like both photos. Being a volunteer firefighter, I respect the second image a lot. He is nice and in focus which makes him standout from the crowd behind. You also have the flag in the corner of the shot which is good. It doesn't overpower the shot but we can still see its there. I like that. The expression on his face is good too. It helps us connect to the photo. Good work man
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job with both pictures. The one of the firefighter is really good. I like how he is the main focus and all other people are blurred.
