Week 7 Image Manipulation

In the above image I used the select tool to remove the cloudy sky and replace it with this beautiful sunset.

In this photo I used the select tool to remove the trees and lake from inside the windows. Then, I replaced the window openings with a picture of The Nubble Lighthouse. Also in this image I used quick mask mode to finely remove unwanted pixels.

For this image I used the select tool to change the color of the trees and the river to be in a black and white color scheme. After selecting everything below the sky I used a photo filter to change the color.

  1. Hi Travis,
Intersting photos, are they ones that you took? I would love to see the originals so I can see the before and after changes. It sounds like you are well versed in the program, which one did you use. I am trying to decide which one is most effecient and user friendly for begining.

  2. Awesome job Travis. I like the last image you edited. The black and white forest really makes the blue sky pop!

  3. I like your use of framing the in the second photo as well as your editing in the first picture to place in a sunset. You seem like you really know what you are doing in photoshop.

  4. I like the picture of the lighthouse. The third picture is really neat with the blue sky and the trees in gray scale. It would have been nice to have the originals to go with it.

  6. Terrific job on your photos. I like the beautiful sunset in the first photo. I think it changes the entire mood of the photo than one with a cloudy sky. I remember your second photo from our framing assignment. Great job combining the light house photo with it.

  7. Travis as always great job! I like how all the shots look. I never played with that tool. It's amazing you can't tell if something wasn't suppose to be there.
