Week 4 Color Schemes

This photo has a monochromatic color scheme to it. Although it may all look simply green, there are different shades and tints of green in the image.

This photo is an example of analogous. The colors of the sky go from yellow-orange to a pinkish-red to a purple-blue. All of these colors are relatively close to each other on the color wheel.

  1. Nice job showing the color schemes. I really liked the sunset colors and how it creates the silhouette in the foreground.

  2. The sunset with the lower 1/3 in shadow is striking. It could also be called complementary if you thought of the blue/purple and the yellow/orange as the predominant colors, since they are opposites on the color wheel. Either way you call it it's a stunning photo.

  3. I like how you were able to capture the different shades of green in your photo of the grass. The sunset photo is gorgeous and is a great example of analogous color schemes.

  4. Great photo of the sunset! I love the texture of the sky, it appears very soft because of the faint, clouds. If i were you I would crop out the cars at the bottom and just leave the black trees.

  5. Both pictures are great. I really do like your shot of the sunset. The way the three colors purple, pink and yellow blend together it looks amazing.
