The photo above is my favorite of all the pictures I took of this rock tower someone had built in front of the small cave. From the perspective of a low front angle, the rock tower looks larger than it really is and it also covers the large entrance into the cave. I guess I'd have to call this "The Bug's Eye View", simply because to a bug this point-of-view makes it seem quite the climb to the top.
The second photo is from a side angle. This angle didn't really capture an amazing image, but it gives you an idea of the actual size of the rock tower and a different view of the color of the rocks from the side compared to the front image at the beginning of this post.

I like the image from the "bug's eye view". It makes the tower look so big and you're able to capture of the details of the rocks. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI too, like the "bugs eye view." It creates the feeling that the tower is huge, and strong. What an interesting tower!
ReplyDeleteGreat contrast between the two, eh? This is the perfect example of how point of view can affect an image so strongly.
ReplyDeleteWOW! The bugs eye view makes your pictures look so different from one another. What a nice contrast on the rock tower.
ReplyDeleteThe first shot is awesome. The lighting is great and the angle is perfect. The color of the tower and the ledge match but it works because the angle you took the picture with lines up the tower into that dark crevice. It makes the tower really pop because you used that as a contrast. That was a good set up because in that picture the ledge in the back matters just as much as the tower. They work together and compliment each other. This is because the tower is in it natural habitat (nature) and we don't get the full affect unless we see it's surroundings.
